Chris Tagnon is a First Class Mechanical Engineering graduate from University College London. He has acquired a breadth of experience in research, consulting and engineering, in the energy and e-mobility industries as well as top tier motorsports. In his first year, Chris coauthored a paper on EV batteries within Imperial College London’s Electrochemical Science and Engineering research group. As part of his thesis project, he developed the solution which gave birth to CAST Energy. Recently, Chris was awarded the Engineering Leaders Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Louis Louvel, a first-year Civil and Environmental Engineering student at Imperial College London, comes from a multicultural background with fluency in French, Mandarin, and British English. His experience includes internships at startups and achievements such as placing 9th in the 2022 French National Chemistry Olympiads and participating in the Mathematics Olympiads. Passionate about the energy sector, Louis is dedicated to shaping his future within this field. He also has practical skills in disassembling and repairing mechanical and electronic devices like engines, computers, drones, and microwaves.

Mechanical engineering student currently on a year in industry within defence. Previously has conducted and is currently involved with a wide portfolio of projects. Within the sustainability field I’ve developed new fuel cell technologies, working in collaboration with industrial partners as well as leading research into hydrogen integration large scale into our economy. Aside from sustainability, product realisation projects in the form of designing and building a Mars Rover for the ESA competition and the design and manufacturing of fuel cell educational products. I shall be providing my expertise and knowledge of design to delivery to help actualise CAST.
